As a boat captain in Hawai'i, I spend my days navigating the turquoise waters, taking people on unforgettable adventures, and witnessing the breathtaking beauty of the sea. Every sunrise over the horizon, every dolphin dancing in the waves, and every moment spent beneath the surface reminds me why I chose this life. But living in paradise comes with its challenges, and I needed a way to sustain my dream of working on the water while staying true to my passion.

That's how The Shining Shell was born.

Between charters, I would find myself walking along the shore, collecting shells, sea glass, and ocean-worn treasures that had washed up with the tide. Each piece felt like a small gift from the sea, a reminder of the ever-changing, ever-giving nature of the ocean. I started experimenting with turning these finds into jewelry, imprinting real shells into molten silver and crafting pieces that carried the spirit of the sea. What began as a simple creative outlet quickly became something more—a way to share my love for the ocean while helping support my life on the water.
